X-Men Origins: Wolverine

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a 2009 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics' fictional character Wolverine. The film is directed by Gavin Hood and stars Hugh Jackman as the title character, along with Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston, will.i.am, Lynn Collins, Taylor Kitsch and Ryan Reynolds. It is the fourth installment of the X-Men film series, and serves as a prequel to the previous installments, being primarily set roughly ten to seventeen years before the film X-Men. The film focuses on the violent past of the mutant Wolverine.

It tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past and about his complex relationship with his half-brother Victor Creed. The plot also details Wolverine's early encounters with Colonel William Stryker, his time with Team X and the bonding of Wolverine's skeleton with the indestructible metal, adamantium, during the Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated.

To be honest, this movie surprised me. I didn't think it would be so good. The action scenes are amazing and the plot is well structured. Basically, any questions you have about Wolverine will be answered by this movie. But, I suggest watching the other films before this one - It'll then be easier to follow.

Terminator Salvation

Terminator Salvation is a 2009 American science fiction film written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris and directed by Joseph McGinty Nichol (McG). It is the fourth film in the Terminator series, and stars Christian Bale as future Resistance leader John Connor and Sam Worthington as cyborg Marcus Wright. The film also introduces a young Kyle Reese from the original 1984 film, played by Anton Yelchin, as well as depicting the origin of the T-800 Model 101 Terminator. Terminator Salvation, set in 2018, focuses on the war between humanity and Skynet - a departure from the previous installments, which were set on the present day and featured time travel.

The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans where they hide in the desolate cities and deserts. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can against an enemy force that vastly outnumbers them. Only one man saw Judgment Day coming. One man, whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence: John Connor. In a battle against time, Conner must save Kyle Rees from Skynet to protect the future of the world.

I never have been a big Terminator fan, and this movie didn't change a thing. I didn't like this movie at all. It some good action scenes but the storyline was pretty boring. If you are a Terminator fan, don't expect much, because this one disappoints.

17 Again

17 Again is a 2009 comedy film from New Line Cinema starring Zac Efron, Matthew Perry, Leslie Mann, Thomas Lennon, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Sterling Knight, and directed by Burr Steers. What would you do if you got a second shot at life?

Mike O'Donnell (Zac Efron) is a star on the high school basketball court with a college scout in the stands and a bright future in his grasp. But instead, he decides to throw it all away to share his life with his girlfriend Scarlet and the baby he just learned they are expecting. Almost 20 years later, Mike's (Matthew Perry) glory days are decidedly behind him. His marriage to Scarlet (Leslie Mann) has fallen apart, he has been passed over for a promotion at work, his teenage kids think he is a loser, and he has been reduced to crashing with his high school nerd-turned-techno-billionaire best friend Ned (Thomas Lennon). But Mike is given another chance when he is miraculously transformed back to the age of 17. Unfortunately, Mike may look 17 again, but his thirtysomething outlook is totally uncool among the class of 2009. And in trying to recapture his best years, Mike could lose the best things that ever happened to him.

I loved this movie. It was brilliant and not like any other romantic comedy. This is definitely a must watch.

Angels & Demons

Angels & Demons is a 2009 American film adaptation of Dan Brown's novel by the same name. It is the sequel to The Da Vinci Code, even though the novel Angels & Demons was published first and takes place before the novel The Da Vinci Code. Tom Hanks reprises the lead role of Robert Langdon, while director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer, and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman also return.

When Langdon discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati – the most powerful underground organization in history – he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. Upon learning that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, Langdon travels to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow the 400-year-old Path of Illumination that marks the Vatican's only hope for survival.

I thought that this was a pretty good movie, though people say the book is better. Unlike it's prequel - The Da Vinci Code, this one has a very clear and well structured plot. The movie has some good scenes in which the intensity has been built up well. This movie won't be a waste of time so I'd definitely recommend it.

The Hangover

The Hangover is a 2009 comedy film directed by Todd Phillips. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, and Heather Graham. The movie is a comedy about a bachelor party gone horribly wrong.

Two days before his wedding, Doug and his three buddies drive to Vegas for a blow-out night they'll never forget. But when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning with pounding headaches, they can't remember a thing. Their posh hotel suite is beyond trashed and the groom is nowhere to be found. With no clue of what happened and little time to spare, the trio must attempt to retrace their bad decisions from the night before in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time for his wedding. However, the more they begin to uncover, the more they realize just how much trouble they're really in.

This was a hillarious movie. I enjoyed it from the start till the end. This is a must watch (atleast for guys).
